ISGC White Paper 2010
In response to a call from the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA), the consortium submitted a White Paper in October 2010. Authored
by Noelle Cockett on behalf of the consortium it provided a snapshot of
the resources which are already in place for the sheep genome. The paper
then summarized the status of the reference genome project and offered
suggestions for the future directions of the consortium. The sheep White

here. For
additional information on the reference genome project, the group recently
published a marker paper. It described the laboratories involved and asked
for interested researchers to join the annotation effort. It was published
in the October issue of
Animal Genetics.
